NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity
The course aims to introduce learners to equality and diversity; highlight how stereotyping can affect individuals and groups; outline the effects of prejudice and discrimination; examine the rights and responsibilities of individuals and groups; stress the importance of individual responsibility and action to support others- and to promote good practice in the workplace.
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Infection Control
This course aims to control and reduce the risk of contamination in the workplace; to build awareness and provide understanding and expertise in dealing with infection control. This course is particularly useful for health and social care, or food preparation type occupations.
Food Qualifications
We offer three main courses which relate to the food services industry:
- BICSc Kitchen Operatives Proficiency Certificate
- Food Safety and Awareness (Basic Food Hygiene)
- Specialist Kitchen Cleaning
We use elements of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) assessment and our own learning materials to deliver these courses. Again, thorough careful consultation with organisations, we endeavour, wherever possible, to adapt our provision to suit client needs and preferences.
We have delivered these qualifications to restaurants, public houses and larger organisations and are actively looking to expand our range of courses in this area.(back to top)
Security Qualifications
M & O Training Ltd is an accredited City & Guilds Centre for the Level 2 Door Supervisors Certificate. These courses will be run in conjunction with our colleagues at Moonshine PCS.
This course consists of two basic elements:
1. Roles and responsibilities of Door Supervisors
2. Conflict Management for Door Supervisors
The certificate is achieved by attending a course that lasts for four days, with assessment by formal examination at the end of the programme.
There are plans to extend our provision to include courses on:
- Static Security Guarding
- Physical Intervention

Skills for Life
M & O Training, in conjunction and consultation with its partner Colleges and the Basic Skills Agency, supports the Government’s National Initiatives to help people improve their own level of Essential Skills, Literacy, Numeracy and Communication.
We offer assessment, coaching, support and qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy at Levels 1 and 2. We have also developed a series of work-related exercises which deliver Essential Skills practice in a familiar, workplace context, as well as a wealth of learning resources from the National Curriculum.
Our team has been trained to support and encourage learners to develop their skills at their own pace. Award is achieved by formal testing, which is followed by issue of a nationally-recognised certificate. We find this programme is popular with people who wish to obtain a formal certificate in Literacy or Numeracy which they did not obtain whilst at school or college. (back to top)
